On this page, you will find advice as to how to check your service and telephone setting for the problem-free use of t-zones services on your mobile telephone. The fastest way to set your telephone parameters is the Configuration service.

Step 1 - Do you know what your telephone can do?

The t-zones service has plenty to offer every mobile telephone user. All you have to do is find out what services your telephone supports:

  • it knows SMS, but not WAP
    then you can order simple ringtones or images from t-zones
  • It knows WAP but only dialled data (CSD), or it knows WAP CSD and GPRS (WAP and Internet)
    then your offer is extended to include primarily Java games
  • It knows GPRS and MMS
    then your telephone has a colour display and t-zones has polyphonic ringtones and sounds, wallpapers and postcards ready for you. For some models, there are also screensavers and of course a wide range of Java games.

Information about your telephone is available in the handset documentation, on the t-mobile.cz website or on the website of your telephone manufacturer.

Step 2 - Have you activated data services?

To use t-zones on your mobile telephone, you have to check whether you have activated the GPRS/EDGE services.

If you have a newer telephone purchased from T-Mobile, the GPRS/EDGE and MMS services will be active already.

GPRS/EDGE and MMS can be activated in the following manner - first check whether the services are active:

  • Through the My T-Mobile service
    Users registered at the t-zones portal (in the My T-Mobile services) can configure GPRS and other services in the My T-Mobile section. Just choose the relevant link under the Service Settings tab.
  • Through SMS
    Just send an SMS message in the required format to the number 4603. More information about this activation method is available on this page.
  • Through the automatic voice system at 4603 (tariff customers only)
    Call the number 4603 and the automatic voice system will enable you to active selected services.
  • Through the T-Mobile Customer Centre
    Activation of the GPRS service is also possible at the T-Mobile Customer Centre at +420 603 603 603 (4603 free from the T-Mobile network).

Step 3 - Is your telephone set up correctly?

The last step is to check the settings of your telephone. If you purchased it in the T-Mobile retail network your telephone has already been set at the shop. Otherwise, you have to configure your telephone for the services.

The easiest way to set up your telephone is by using a configuration SMS message. The most comfortable method is to use our T-Mobile Configuration service (only available in Czech).
